Lin Rong Recreation Area is located at a transportation junction on the old Taiwan Highway 9, adjacent to the west side of Chao Feng Farm. It is one of the best rest stops for travelers coming from the south to the north of the Huadong Valley. Due to the rerouting of Highway 9, it fell into decline, but after renovations, it now features accessible facilities, a parking lot, restrooms, meeting spaces, and resting areas. Various handmade activities, craft lectures, and experiential tours are held from time to time, and tourist consultation services are provided, making it an important hub for local residents to participate in events and for tourists to experience local life. Due to its geographical location, Lin Rong Recreation Area integrates the historical and cultural aspects of the Xi Lin Village branch community, the Hakka villages of Bei Lin Village, and the immigrant villages from the Japanese colonial period, reflecting both indigenous and Hakka cultures. As a result, Lin Rong Recreation Area has been planned with exhibition spaces for local specialty cultural and creative products, local cultural history and artifacts, and multifunctional workshops. Through the context of local cultural development in Fenglin, it presents a multicultural encounter between indigenous peoples and Hakka villages. Lin Rong Recreation Area is suitable for travelers who want to deeply experience the life of the residents. Here, visitors can see the agricultural tools used by early Fenglin farmers and witness the weaving arts of the community.
