Fenglin Hakka Cultural Museum Introduction

The Hakka Cultural Museum in Fenglin Township is located within Fenglin Park and is the first Hakka cultural museum in Eastern Taiwan. Although the museum's area is not large, its collection is quite rich. The first floor introduces the pioneering records, beliefs, transportation, and daily utensils of the Hakka people in Hualien, while the second floor showcases traditional clothing and early Hakka farming tools, such as windmills, plows, and mortars. Notably, these farming tools were voluntarily donated by local residents. Additionally, the museum features impressive exhibits on the production of Hakka rice dishes, vegetable buns, and the cultivation of the "Three Treasures of Hakka Agriculture" - rice, corn, and sweet potatoes. With a well-rounded historical documentation, visitors can gain a concrete understanding of the Hakka development history in Fenglin Township and a broader insight into the migration history of Hakka people in Eastern Taiwan. Since it is located within Fenglin Park, after absorbing a wealth of knowledge, visitors can also enjoy leisure activities in the park, experiencing the joy of combining learning and relaxation.
