Fenglin Hakka Cultural Museum Introduction
The Hakka Cultural Museum in Fenglin Township is located within Fenglin Park and is the first Hakka museum in the eastern region. Although the area is not large, the collection is quite rich. The first floor introduces the records of Hakka people's development in Hualien, their beliefs, transportation, and daily utensils; the second floor presents traditional clothing and early Hakka farming tools, such as wind drums, plowshares, mortars, etc. Notably, these farming tools were voluntarily donated by local residents. Additionally, the production of Hakka rice dishes and vegetable buns, along with the "Three Treasures of Hakka Agriculture"—rice, corn, and sweet potatoes—are also impressive exhibits. The historical materials in the museum are quite comprehensive, allowing visitors to gain a detailed understanding of the development history of Hakka people in Fenglin Township, as well as a broader understanding of the Hakka migration history in the eastern region. Since it is located in Fenglin Park, visitors can enjoy leisure activities in the park after absorbing a wealth of knowledge, experiencing the pleasure of combining learning and relaxation.
