Fenglin Hakka Cultural Museum Introduction
The Hakka Cultural Museum in Fenglin Township is located within Fenglin Park and is the first Hakka museum in Eastern Taiwan. Despite its small size, it boasts a rich collection. The first floor introduces the settlement records, beliefs, transportation, and daily utensils of the Hakka people in Hualien, while the second floor features traditional costumes and early Hakka farming tools, such as windmills, comb cultivators, and mortars, which have all been voluntarily donated by local residents. Additionally, the production of Hakka rice snacks and vegetable buns, along with the cultivation of the "three treasures of Hakka agriculture"—rice, corn, and sweet potatoes—are also impressive exhibits. The museum has comprehensive historical materials, allowing visitors to gain a concrete understanding of the development history of the Hakka community in Fenglin Township, as well as a broader appreciation of the migration history of Hakka people in Eastern Taiwan. Since it is located within Fenglin Park, visitors can enjoy leisure activities in the park after absorbing a wealth of knowledge, experiencing the joy of combining learning with relaxation.
