Tou She Bicycle Path Introduction
Tou She is a small village located southwest of Sun Moon Lake, with an elevation of about 640 to 670 meters, around 80 meters lower than Sun Moon Lake. The terrain is very flat, making it ideal for cycling, with the cycling path starting right next to Provincial Highway 21. The Tou She Basin covers an area of only about 2 square kilometers, featuring flat land, lush greenery, flocks of egrets, and rustic farmhouses that together create a beautiful rural landscape. Riding along the countryside paths on a bicycle is truly refreshing. The most famous and widely cultivated crop in Tou She is the loofah, with beautiful yellow loofah flowers blooming from June to August each year. Additionally, the golden needle lily field, which blooms a month earlier, is also located in the Tou She Basin, with fields of orange golden needle lilies perfect for taking beautiful social media photos from any angle. Along the Tou She Cycling Path, you can also find laundry areas used by grandmothers and grandfathers—if you're curious about how people used to gather and chat while doing laundry, don't miss these three laundry sites! During the summer holidays, if you want to avoid the crowds at Sun Moon Lake, consider bringing your own bicycle to cycle through this area, slow down and truly feel the most authentic and warm rural atmosphere.
