Sun Moon Lake Bicycle Path - South Section Introduction
Tan Nan Village belongs to the Bunun tribe of the Kaxabu group and is named "Tan Nan" due to its location to the southwest of Sun Moon Lake. From Sun Moon Lake, travel south along Provincial Highway 21 to the banks of the Zuo Shui River, then follow Provincial Highway 16 upstream along the Zuo Shui River, and take County Road 97 northward to pass through the foothills of Shui She Da Mountain to reach Tan Nan Village before returning to Sun Moon Lake. This is a cycling route that is close to nature and presents a challenge with its uphill sections, making it suitable for cyclists who regularly train and enjoy pushing their limits.
