Catholic Church of Tannan Village Introduction
Tan Nan Catholic Church is the highest church in Nantou County. The giant statue of Jesus in the church located in Tan Nan Village serves as a landmark, with Jesus' outstretched arms at the mountainside seemingly comforting the afflicted, symbolizing the end of suffering. The church is built along the hillside, with glass walls surrounding it, creating a spacious ambiance in the elongated structure. Behind the altar is a pool of water, and under the light, it appears as though the church is reflected both on the surface and below, signifying that God is omnipresent. Designed with the concept of Noah's Ark combined with biblical meanings, the church also exudes a sense of modernity.
