Xiangshan Viewing Platform Introduction
The Xiangshan Viewing Platform is a cantilevered observation deck, approximately 10 meters high, located about 400 meters from the Xiangshan Visitor Center along a walking path. The platform features a steel structure and a hollow lattice design that extends over the water, creating a unique visual experience as if it is floating on the surface of the lake, while also giving the illusion of diving into the water. Walking on it provides a slight swaying sensation, adding excitement and fun (but be cautious with personal belongings, as items may accidentally fall through the hollow lattice into Sun Moon Lake). From the platform, visitors can enjoy a 270-degree panoramic view encompassing famous attractions such as the Sun Moon Lake Shuishe Dam, the Hanbi Peninsula, Lalu Island, Xuanguang Temple, and Xuanzang Temple, capturing the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains. The ecological trail adjacent to the platform is lush and green, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely walk to appreciate the natural beauty, as well as a perfect place for capturing lake views and enjoying a tranquil atmosphere.
