Shishan Visitor Center Introduction

The Shishan Visitor Center is located in Emei Township, Hsinchu County. Originally a defunct elementary school, it has been renovated to serve not only as a great place for travelers to rest and receive tourism guidance but also to integrate local culture with Lion's Head Mountain. The center showcases rich Hakka village charm within its grounds. Surrounding the Shishan Visitor Center are many important attractions in the Lion's Head Mountain Scenic Area, such as the Shishan Ancient Trail, Shuǐlián Bridge Trail, and Tengping Trail. The center also provides extensive services, including various themed tourism display boards that give visitors a clear overview of the abundant travel resources in the Shishan area. Additionally, the Shishan classroom introduces the nearby hiking trail maps, allowing visitors to choose suitable routes based on their physical condition and mood. There are also several convenient services available, such as travel brochures, mobile phone charging, basic medical supplies, and wireless internet, making hiking trips more comfortable and secure. The best time to visit the Shishan Visitor Center is during the Tung Blossom Festival in April and May, when the tung flowers bloom beautifully next to the center, creating a picturesque white carpet on the ground. Combined with the waterwheel scenery in the outdoor plaza and the unique heart-shaped wall, the visitor center becomes a stunning spot worth visiting!
