Lion Mountain Visitor Center Introduction
The Shishan Visitor Center is located in Emei Township, Hsinchu County. It was formerly a closed Shishan Elementary School building and has been transformed into a great place for travelers to rest and receive tourist guidance. The center integrates with the local culture of Shishan Mountain, showcasing a rich Hakka village atmosphere within the park. Surrounding the Shishan Visitor Center are many important attractions in the Shishan Scenic Area, such as the Shishan Ancient Trail, the Shuiliang Bridge Trail, and the Tengping Trail. The services inside are also abundant, with various themed travel boards that provide tourists with a clear understanding of the rich tourism resources in the Shishan area. The Shishan Classroom within the visitor center introduces nearby trail maps, allowing visitors to choose suitable routes based on their physical condition and mood. Additionally, it offers various convenient services such as travel brochures, mobile charging, basic medical supplies, and wireless internet, making hiking trips more comfortable and secure. The best time to visit the Shishan Visitor Center is during the Tung Blossom Festival, which occurs in April and May! The tung flowers bloom beside the visitor center, creating a scene that resembles a white carpet on the ground, which is very beautiful.
