Guguan Dadao Yuan Introduction

The temple is located 25 kilometers along the Central Cross-Island Highway, surrounded by mountains, offering a serene landscape. It is built in the Northern Chinese temple architectural style, showcasing solemnity and elegance. The main hall is the Wuji Grand Hall, with the Lingxiao Grand Hall on the dragon side and the Ziwei Grand Hall on the tiger side. The Wuji Grand Hall is dedicated to the worship of the Supreme Pure, the Three Honored Ones, the Golden Mother of the Jade Pond, and other deities including the Three Teachings' Masters and the Three Pure Ones, as well as the Prince Marshal. The Lingxiao Grand Hall is dedicated to the Jade Emperor, the Supreme Emperor of the Mysterious Heavens, the South Heaven's Master Wenheng, and other celestial figures such as the General Zhuge Liang and the Emperor Heng, as well as the Supreme Heavenly Lord of Thunder. The Ziwei Grand Hall honors the North Polar Emperor of the Purple Tenuity, the Life-Lengthening Star of the Southern Dipper, and the Solving-Calamity Star of the Northern Dipper. To facilitate visitors, self-service vegetarian dining and accommodation in Zen rooms are available; registration for accommodation requires the presentation of an identification document.
