Sky Ladder Trail Introduction
Named Tien-ti, which means "Heavenly Ladder" and signifies a steep mountain trail with the connotation of seeking enlightenment from heaven, it is a loop trail that does not require backtracking. Because it is a circular route, some say it represents the process of seeking wisdom from the heavens, going through a cycle. At the Suanbikeng area, there is also a weekend farmer's market, and nearby attractions include Yuqing Temple, Tiangong Temple, Ling Stone Riverside Park, Qiaodong Bogong, and Liuliguang Temple. When visiting the Tien-ti Trail, it is recommended to consider including the Suanbikeng Agricultural Area in your itinerary, which offers not only a natural environment but also the Dongshi Agricultural Specialty Park. Additionally, there are few accommodation and dining options within the Suanbikeng area, so it is advisable to dine in the nearby Dongshi or Nanto before entering the park. Furthermore, the best time for firefly watching is typically in April and May each year.
