Heaven Ladder Trail Introduction
Named the "Celestial Ladder," it signifies a steep mountain with the connotation of a pathway to seek wisdom from heaven. It is a loop trail, so there's no need to walk back, and because it's a loop, some say it represents the process of seeking enlightenment, going through a cycle. At the Soft Pi Keng area, there is also a weekend farmers' market. Nearby attractions include Yuching Temple, Tiangong Temple, Ling Stone Riverside Park, Qiatong Bobo, and Liuliguang Temple. When visiting the Celestial Ladder Trail, it is recommended to consider including the Soft Pi Keng Agricultural Area in your itinerary; it offers not only a natural environment but also the Dongshi Agricultural Specialty Area. Additionally, there are few accommodation and dining options within the Soft Pi Keng area, so it's advisable to dine in nearby Dongshi or Neihu before entering the area. From April to May each year, it is particularly suitable for firefly watching.
