Ruipikeng Leisure Agricultural Area Introduction
The Ruampikeng Recreational Agricultural Area was awarded the Model Award in the Leisure Agricultural Area Evaluation in 2018 and 2021. It is located behind the Tian Gong Temple at the entrance, and the most popular attraction, the Tian Ti Health Trail, is also nearby. In the area, there are agricultural farms available for fruit-picking experiences, opportunities to do plant dyeing at Shuliang Station, and nearby water parks that are great for family recreation. Every spring, fireflies can be seen in the firefly restoration area. The area has abundant water supply year-round, supporting agricultural irrigation along the riverbanks, with rich aquatic ecology hosting schools of fish and shrimp, making it a paradise for flora and fauna, as well as a habitat for fireflies. The Tian Ti Health Trail, located behind the Tian Gong Temple, is a light walking trail suitable for families. On weekends, it attracts many visitors for hiking, becoming a new popular hiking trail. The trail offers views of the rural culture and natural scenery of the Ruampikeng Recreational Agricultural Area, with surrounding tourist farms and orchards offering fruit-picking experiences, allowing visitors to taste the freshest fruits and bring wonderful travel memories home. The "Nuomi Bridge" serves as a historical testament to the wisdom of our ancestors. In the past, when building bridges, there were no materials like concrete. To increase the stickiness between soil and stones, glutinous rice was added, which helped create a strong bonding material for bridge construction. Therefore, these bridges are called "Nuomi Bridge." The "Yuqing Temple" in the Ruampikeng area is filled with legendary stories, becoming a center of faith for many residents and a tourist attraction, bustling with visitors and incense offerings. At the "Shuliang Station," visitors can learn about DIY plant dyeing using a type of sweet potato called Shuliang, where white cotton cloth is soaked in the Shuliang juice. Depending on the soaking time, different shades of color can be achieved. The dye is not only durable but also has preservative properties! Reservations can be made to experience the fun of DIY dyeing. The "Hezhun Forest Farm" is home to fireflies, focusing on planting and caring for nature, making it a leisurely small forest farm. The diverse tree species, such as Taiwania, camphor, and Cinnamomum cassia, allow visitors to deeply understand the benefits of afforestation and feel the refreshing embrace of forest phytoncides. Visiting the Hezhun Forest Farm on weekends lets you experience the relaxation of being close to nature, and in early summer, you can enjoy the enchanting spectacle of fireflies flickering like stars in the night, providing a wonderful experience.
