Mr. Lin Temple Introduction

The Lin Mr. Temple is located beside Yuanji Road in Ershui Township (County Road 152). Its origin dates back to the 58th year of the Kangxi era (1719 AD), when the settler Shi Changling was unable to channel water from the Zhuoshui River into the Babu Canal despite using various methods near the nose of Wudong Fort. Later, by chance, he encountered Professor Lin, who taught him the method of channeling water, which irrigated the entire Changhua Plain and led to its prosperity. However, after accomplishing this great feat, Lin did not seek any reward and vanished without revealing his name. Grateful descendants built the Lin Mr. Temple near the head of the Babu Canal in Ershui as a tribute to his remarkable contributions.
