Lin Mister Temple Introduction

Located beside Yuanji Road in Ershui Township (County Route 152), the origin of Mr. Lin Temple dates back to the 58th year of the Kangxi Emperor's reign (1719 AD). The settler, Shi Changling, was unable to direct the water from the Zhuoshui River into the irrigation canal despite trying various methods while constructing the Babao Canal near the Nizitou area of Wudong Fort. Later, he fortuitously encountered Mr. Lin, who taught him the method of water diversion, which irrigated the entire Changhua Plain and led to its prosperity. However, after accomplishing this great feat, Mr. Lin disappeared without leaving behind any riches or revealing his full name. Grateful descendants built Mr. Lin Temple near the head of the Babao Canal by Nizitou in Ershui to commemorate his remarkable contributions.
