Mr. Lin Temple Introduction

Located beside Yuanji Road in Ershuei Township (County Road 152), the origin of Mr. Lin Temple dates back to the 58th year of the Kangxi Emperor during the Qing Dynasty (1719 AD). Settler Shi Changqing was unable to channel the muddy water from the Zhuoshui River into the Babu Canal despite trying various methods near the nose of Wudong Fort. Eventually, he encountered Mr. Lin, who taught him the method of water diversion, successfully irrigating the entire Changhua Plain and leading to its prosperity. However, Mr. Lin disappeared without taking any rewards for his remarkable contributions and did not reveal his name to anyone! In appreciation of his grace, the descendants built the Mr. Lin Temple near the head of Babu Canal in Ershuei to commemorate his great achievements.
