Mr. Lin Temple Introduction

Located beside Yuanji Road in Ershui Township (County Road 152), the origin of the Lin Mr. Temple dates back to the 58th year of the Kangxi era (1719 AD), when settler Shi Changling struggled to divert the muddy waters of the Zhuoshui River for the construction of the Babao Canal near the Bezitou area of Wudong Fort. Despite trying various methods, he was unable to channel the water into the canal. Later, he encountered Mr. Lin, who taught him the techniques of water diversion, which irrigated the entire Changhua Plain and led to its prosperity. However, after successfully completing the project, Mr. Lin refused any rewards and vanished without a trace, leaving no one aware of his full name! Grateful descendants built the Lin Mr. Temple near the head of the Babao Canal in Bezitou, Ershui, to commemorate his great achievements.
