Mr. Lin Temple Introduction
Located beside Yuanji Road in Ershui Township (County Road 152), the origin of Mr. Lin's Temple dates back to the 58th year of the Kangxi Emperor's reign (1719 AD), when settler Shi Changling was unable to bring the water from the Zhuoshui River into the irrigation channel known as the Babao Canal near the "Bizi Tou" area of Wudong Fort, despite exhausting various construction methods. Later, he had a chance encounter with Professor Lin, who taught him water diversion techniques, which irrigated the entire Changhua Plain and led to its future prosperity. However, after completing his great contribution, Mr. Lin left without seeking any reward or revealing his true name. In gratitude for his blessings, later generations built Mr. Lin's Temple near the head of the Babao Canal in Ershui to commemorate his remarkable achievements.
