Xiantian Temple is located in Dongshih Harbor, Chiayi County, and has a history of over 300 years. This temple, built facing the sea, features a magnificent exterior and serves as a center of faith for local fishermen. The temple enshrines deities such as Wufuchiansui, Baosheng Emperor, and Jifuchiansui. The Wang Boat Festival, held every five years, is the most important ceremony of Xiantian Temple, commemorating the arrival of the Wang Boat from Waisha Island. Additionally, the Lantern Riddles activity, held for three consecutive days during the Lantern Festival each year, is another century-old tradition of Xiantian Temple, attracting many visitors with its generous prizes.
