Xiantian Temple, located in Dongshih Harbor, Chiayi County, has a history of over three hundred years. Built facing the sea, the temple features a majestic appearance and serves as the faith center for local fishermen. It enshrines deities such as Wufu Qiansui, Baosheng Dadi, and Jifu Qiansui. The Wang Boat Festival, held every five years, commemorates the Wang Boat that was brought from Waisanding Island and is the most important celebration of Xiantian Temple. Additionally, the lantern riddle guessing event, held for three consecutive days during the Lantern Festival, is another century-old tradition of Xiantian Temple, attracting many participants each year with its abundant prizes.
