Baizi Liao "Oh Bear Art Village" Introduction
Centered around Pazy Liao Putian Temple, artists are invited to create art for this small fishing village, humorously reinterpreting Eastern Chinese mythology to resonate with the legendary colors of the local temples. Notable temples like the Haiqing Temple and the Bao Gong Temple, famous in the Four Lakes area, feature familiar mythological figures such as Judge Bao, Pangu, the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, Nezha battling the Dragon King of the East Sea, Journey to the West, and Chang'e flying to the Moon as themes for the murals. The total length of the creations exceeds 1 kilometer, adding more vibrancy to Pazy Liao through these interesting works. In 2018, to make Pazy Liao more distinctive, local specialty elements such as fish catches and fishing village life were incorporated into the concept of creating art. Additionally, the Tourism Bureau's mascot "O Bear" was used as a creation theme, resulting in a 4D sculptural display and Taiwan's unique "double-sided paintings," transforming it into the "O Bear Art Village." This makes the entire art village more lively and engaging, attracting domestic and international tourists and becoming a popular photo spot.
