Bazi Liaoh Oh Bear Arts Village Introduction
Centered around Baziliao PuhTian Temple, artists are invited to create artworks for this small fishing village, humorously reinterpreting Eastern Chinese mythology to echo the legendary colors of local temples. Well-known mythological figures such as Bao Zheng from the Sea Clear Palace in Sihhu, Pangu, the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, Nezha vs. the Dragon King of the East Sea, Journey to the West, and Chang'e flying to the Moon are featured as themes in the paintings, with a total length exceeding 1 kilometer. Through these interesting creations, Baziliao gains more vibrancy. In 2018, to enhance Baziliao's uniqueness, the concept of artistic creation was enriched by incorporating local characteristic elements, such as fishery products and fishing village life. Additionally, the tourism bureau's mascot, "Oh Bear," became the theme for creations, transforming the area into the "Oh Bear Art Village" with 4D sculptures and unique "double-sided paintings," making the entire art village more lively and fun, attracting attention from domestic and international tourists and becoming a popular photo spot.
