Bazi Liao "Oh Bear Art Village" Introduction
Centered around the Beiziliao Puyuma Temple, artists are invited to create art in this small fishing village, humorously reinterpreting Eastern Chinese mythology. This resonates with the legendary colors of local temples, such as the Haiqing Palace and the Bao Gong Temple, known for figures like Judge Bao, Pangu, the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, Nezha battling the Dragon King of the East Sea, stories from "Journey to the West," and Chang'e flying to the Moon. The themed artworks stretch over 1 kilometer, bringing more vitality to Beiziliao through these engaging creations. In 2018, to further enhance Beiziliao’s uniqueness, elements of local specialties such as fresh catches and fishing village life were integrated into the concept of artistic creation. Additionally, the Tourism Bureau's mascot, "Bear Chief," was chosen as a theme, leading to the creation of a 4D sculpture and the unique "double-sided painting" found only in Taiwan, forming the "Bear Art Village." This makes the entire art village more vibrant and fun, attracting the attention of domestic and international tourists and becoming a popular photo spot.
