Paziziao "Oh Bear Art Village" Introduction
Centered around the Bazi Liao Putian Temple, artists are invited to create art for this small fishing village, humorously reinterpreting Eastern Chinese mythology while echoing the legendary colors of the local temples. Notable themes include well-known mythological figures such as the Judge Bao from the Haiqing Temple, Pangu, the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, Nezha fighting the Dragon King of the East Sea, Journey to the West, and Chang'e flying to the Moon. The total length of the artworks exceeds 1 kilometer, bringing more vitality to Bazi Liao through these engaging creations. In 2018, to enhance the uniqueness of Bazi Liao, local specialty elements reflecting the fishing village life, such as local catches, were integrated into the concept of the artwork. Moreover, the Tourism Bureau's mascot "Wo Bear" became the main subject of creation, featuring a 4D sculpture and a unique "double-sided painting" to build the "Wo Bear Art Village," making the entire art village more lively and interesting, attracting domestic and international tourists and turning it into a popular spot for photos and social media posts.
