Bajiliao "Oh Bear Art Village" Introduction
Centered around the Puziliao Putian Temple, artists are invited to create art for this small fishing village, humorously reinterpreting Eastern Chinese mythology and echoing the local temples' legendary colors. The themes for the colorful paintings feature well-known mythical figures such as Bao Gong from the famous Haiqing Palace in Sihu, Pangu, the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, Nezha battling the Dragon King of the East Sea, Journey to the West, and Chang'e flying to the moon, with a total length exceeding 1 kilometer. Through these interesting creations, Puziliao gains more vitality. In 2018, to give Puziliao a more distinctive character, local specialty elements such as fish catches and fishing village life were integrated into the concept of creating art pieces. Additionally, the Tourism Bureau's mascot "Oh Bear" became a creative theme, leading to the establishment of "Oh Bear Art Village" with 4D sculptures and the unique "double-sided paintings" found only in Taiwan, making the entire art village more lively and fun, attracting domestic and international tourists and becoming a popular spot for photo opportunities.
