Centered around Puziliao Putien Temple, artists were invited to create art for this small fishing village, humorously reinterpreting Eastern Chinese mythology, resonating with the legendary colors of local temples, such as the well-known Haiqing Temple and the Bao Gong Temple in Sihu, featuring characters like Judge Bao, Pangu, the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, Nezha, the Dragon King of the East Sea, Journey to the West, and Chang'e flying to the moon as themes for the murals. The total length of the creations exceeds 1 kilometer, bringing more vibrancy to Puziliao through these interesting artworks. In 2018, to enhance the uniqueness of Puziliao, local specialty elements that highlight the local color, such as fish catches and fishing village life, were incorporated into the artistic creations. Additionally, the Tourism Bureau's mascot, "Wu Bear," was used as a creative theme, featuring 4D sculptures and the uniquely designed "double-sided paintings" in Taiwan, creating the "Wu Bear Art Village," making the entire art village more lively and appealing, and attracting both domestic and international tourists as a popular photo spot.
