Erliao Sunrise Observation Platform Introduction
In the photography world, there are three major sunrise spots known as the "Three Holy Lands of Sunrise": Beigatou, Zhongwucheng, and Nanyuande. Their common feature is the breathtaking low-altitude sea of clouds, with Nanyuande being the lowest altitude sunrise viewing spot in Taiwan, acclaimed as "the closest dawn to the city." On clear days, before dawn, one can stand on the high ground and gaze eastward, where the Central Mountain Range emerges in the morning light. The sunlight leaps out from behind the mountains, casting slanted beams of light, illuminating the chalk hills. The lunar landscape reveals its true form amidst the ever-changing colors of clouds and mist, with bamboo shadows swaying in the morning glow, creating a picturesque landscape like an ink wash painting right before your eyes. The newly built observation platform in recent years is distinct from other narrow viewing platforms, as it is a spacious area that can accommodate nearly two thousand people. Surrounding facilities such as parking lots and restrooms have been set up for visiting pilgrims.
