About 300 meters from the Shihcheng Settlement, the Shihcheng Service Area is a great spot for travelers to pause, relax, and enjoy the views. It is divided into three sections: the main service area, parking lot, and a sculpture exhibition plaza. The brick-red main building seamlessly blends with the surrounding scenery, while the sculpture exhibition plaza features multiple bas-relief murals related to the agricultural development of Yilan, allowing visitors to appreciate the beauty of nature while learning about local cultural stories. The two-story building, designed utilizing the coastal topography, connects the upper level to the parking lot, which includes small shops and spaces for visitors to rest and enjoy views of the ocean. The lower level, closer to the coastline, has public restrooms for public use. Delightful Scenic Afternoon Tea The aromatic coffee of Shihcheng After being remodeled by the management, the first specialty scenic café in the Northeast Coast has emerged here. The café features a design with many windows and few walls, enhancing the experience of the beautiful surroundings. As you drive along the coastal highway, looking out towards the azure Pacific Ocean, the café brings an indescribable sense of joy. Sitting on the open-air observation deck, sipping a signature coffee paired with light snacks and soft music, the view changes with time.
