Fulong Station Introduction
Fulong Station may be the most fragrant station of Taiwan Railways, as the aroma of packed meals wafts in the air immediately upon exiting the station. On weekends, it is common to see everyone holding a meal box, enjoying interesting scenes of feasting right at the station steps. Fulong is one of the popular tourist destinations in northern Taiwan during the summer, and as early as the Japanese colonial period, it was a famous beach resort. The Shuangxi River flows into the sea here, creating a dual landscape of inner and outer seas. A crescent-shaped bridge connects the two areas, with a wide, calm inner river suitable for activities like windsurfing, kayaking, and swimming. The Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival held every May to June (with accessible pathways) and the Gongliao Ocean Music Festival in July attract many visitors. Cycling enthusiasts who want to challenge the old Caoling Circular Bike Path can rent bicycles here to enjoy the scenery while riding with the wind.
