Fulong Station Introduction
Fulong Station may be the most fragrant station of Taiwan Railways, where the enticing aroma of lunch boxes wafts as soon as you exit the station. On holidays, it's common to see everyone holding a lunch box, enjoying a delightful meal right on the steps at the station entrance. Fulong is one of the popular destinations for tourists visiting Northern Taiwan in summer. Even during the Japanese colonial period, Fulong was a renowned seaside bathing area. The Shuangxi River flows into the sea here, creating a dual landscape of inner and outer seas, connected by a crescent-shaped arched bridge. The inner river features a wide surface and calm waters, making it suitable for activities like sailing, kayaking, and swimming. Every year, the Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival takes place from May to June (with accessible walkways), and the Gongliao Ocean Music Festival is held in July, attracting numerous visitors. Cyclists looking to challenge the Old Caoling Circular Bicycle Path can rent bicycles here to enjoy the scenic views.
