Fulong Station Introduction
Fulong Station is perhaps the most aromatic station of Taiwan Railways, as the scent of lunch boxes wafts through the air as soon as you exit the station. It's common to see everyone holding lunch boxes and joyfully feasting right on the steps of the station during weekends. Fulong is a popular destination for tourists visiting northern Taiwan in the summer. As early as the Japanese colonial period, Fulong was a famous seaside resort. The Shuangxi River flows into the sea here, creating a dual landscape of both inner and outer seas, connected by a crescent-shaped arch bridge. The wide and calm waters of the inner river are ideal for activities such as windsurfing, canoeing, and swimming. Every year, the Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival (which has barrier-free pathways) takes place in May and June, and the Gongliao Ocean Music Festival occurs in July, attracting numerous visitors to participate. Cyclists looking to challenge the Jioucyuling Circular Bike Path can rent bicycles here and enjoy the scenery while riding in the wind.
