Dahu Jian Mountain Trail Area Introduction
Dahu Jianshan, also known as Jiancongzi Mountain, stands at an elevation of 1,357 meters. It is located 2 kilometers northeast of Dahu Village in Banlu Township, Chiayi County, and is the highest point among the "Three Peaks and Four Freezes" in the area. To the east lies Qiedongzi in Guanghua Village, Zhuqi Township.
To the northwest of Dahu Jianshan is Hongcailing, which extends north to Baiyaling and connects to Sitianwang Mountain in Shueijieliao. To the southwest are Bantianyan and Sanbaoshan, with surrounding mountains creating diverse landscapes. The Bachang River meanders at the foot of the mountain. The trailhead for this activity begins beside Huoshaoliao Highway in Dahu Village, marked by a large sign that reads "Jianshan Trail." It takes approximately 3 hours to reach the summit from this point. Dahu Jianshan is renowned in the southern climbing community for its prominent ridge, magnificent views, and thrilling climbing routes. The summit offers excellent panoramic views, with the scenery changing dramatically—sometimes shrouded in mist, other times adorned with colorful rainbows—making it a mountain worth climbing.
