Lovers' Park Introduction
Lover's Park in Dapu Township is nestled by the Zengwen Reservoir, just across the water from the highest peak in Dapu Township, Mt. Matu. The park is vast and features vibrant flowers and lush greenery, with the towering and neatly arranged breadfruit trees being particularly spectacular, making it a popular destination for visitors. Strolling along the pathways, surrounded by lush and tranquil trees, it is a delightful place for couples and tourists alike. To access the park, turn right at the fork near the Dapu gas station and follow the road to the end. Located on a small peninsula, the park offers close-up views of the Zengwen Reservoir. A suspension bridge connects to another lakeside park on a nearby peninsula, where tree-lined paths are quite picturesque. Because it is adjacent to the reservoir, this park possesses a unique charm compared to others. It is said that couples who walk hand in hand through the heart-shaped archway at Lover's Park receive blessings and a happy ending. Therefore, it is common to see couples strolling together in this beautiful spot during the holidays. Lover's Park is situated at the upper reaches of the Zengwen Reservoir and boasts a wide variety of plants, including breadfruit, yellow-flowering sweet acacia, and sausage trees. The most representative plant is the monoecious breadfruit tree, whose fruit can weigh up to 1.5 kilograms. Additionally, there are rare African sausage trees, whose light brown oval fruits hang down like gourds and can remain on the tree for six months due to their hardened texture. This rare tree species has almost become a treasure of Dapu, attracting visitors from afar. The park features a large grove of sweet acacia trees, which bloom in clusters resembling wind chimes during May and June, creating a beautiful sight. The well-equipped children's play area ensures that kids have a great time here. Furthermore, due to its proximity to the reservoir, the park offers complete camping facilities, allowing nature lovers to experience the beautiful mountains and waters firsthand.
