Lily Plaza Introduction
Driving into Laiqi Village, vibrant flowers can be seen everywhere along the way. This is the result of the community's effort to create a friendly ecological environment to attract butterflies. After passing Laiqi Elementary School and the "Xingjun Bridge," you will find "Lily Square" on the right side of the road, which is the most vibrant butterfly paradise in the village. Although the pavilion carries the rustic charm of years gone by, the surrounding vegetation showcases tremendous vitality. Here, a variety of nectar-producing plants are widely planted, providing ample food sources for butterflies. Within a short pathway of just over ten meters, you can frequently see various types of butterflies gracefully fluttering, including the Common Bluebottle, Purple Butterfly, Common Rose, Green Oak Blue, Red-bordered Yellow Small Gray Butterfly, and Silver-striped Yellow Butterfly. They feast on nectar and bask in the sunlight, creating a scene reminiscent of a fantastical symphony of forest ecology. The area around Lily Square is also an excellent spot to appreciate Laiqi's "Wild Boar Culture," with intricately painted and uniquely shaped wild boar stone sculptures visible everywhere. This area connects to the "Myth Trail," where travelers can pause to experience the unique atmosphere woven with community crafts and natural beauty. Every spring, when cherry blossoms bloom, Lily Square is enveloped in a sea of soft pink flowers, combining with the dancing silhouettes of butterflies to create a beautifully dimensional scene.
