Ban-Tao Pottery Jiao-Zhi Clip-Dyeing Craft Park Introduction
Ban Tao Kiln is located in a green rice field in Bantou Village, Xinguang Township. It was originally the Yichang Ceramic Factory, the first factory in the country to utilize tunnel kiln technology to produce temple cut tiles and Caozhi ceramics. Later, the "Ban Tao Kiln Cultural Museum" was established to promote the culture of Caozhi ceramics, becoming a unique Caozhi ceramic garden in Taiwan. The landscape of Ban Tao Kiln combines craftsmanship and technology, featuring a classical Chinese garden integrated with Japanese architecture, creating a beautiful scenery. Visitors can experience DIY Caozhi ceramic cut tiles, as well as the fun of making mosaics, ceramic plates, and painting bowls and dishes. The finished painted bowls and dishes can be fired in the tunnel kiln and mailed to visitors. Additionally, there is an outdoor café and accommodations available for afternoon tea. At Ban Tao Kiln, not only can one learn about the process of creating a temple, explore the art of Caozhi ceramics, but also appreciate the unique scenery and relax, experiencing a cultural feast sparked by the fusion of tradition and modernity, making it a worthwhile visit.
