Zhongzheng Park Introduction
To commemorate the anniversary of President Chiang Kai-shek's death, the military and civilians of Kinmen jointly built Chiang Kai-shek Park in 1976 to express their remembrance of his "virtue benefiting Kinmen." This park not only carries historical sentiment but has also become an important green space for locals to relax and take walks. The entrance to Chiang Kai-shek Park is located on the south side of Tai Lake, and the area includes Tai Lake and Rong Garden, covering a vast area of 50 hectares filled with greenery. Upon entering the park, visitors are first greeted by an impressive archway and a statue of Chiang Kai-shek—holding a military cap, with a kind expression, against the shimmering Tai Lake backdrop. The park features shaded pine forests, a lakeside walking trail, stone sculptures, pavilions, and small bridges, creating a tranquil and pleasant environment. The area also includes a children's sports playground, making it suitable for family visits. It is one of the few multifunctional parks in Kinmen that combines commemorative significance with natural scenery. Whether you want to stroll by the lake, enjoy the greenery, or take your kids out to play, Chiang Kai-shek Park is a city oasis in Kinmen worth visiting.
