Chiang Kai-shek Park Introduction

To commemorate the anniversary of President Chiang Ching-kuo's passing, the military and civilians of Kinmen jointly built the Chiang Ching-kuo Memorial Park in 1976 to express their remembrance of his contributions to Kinmen. This park not only carries historical sentiments but also serves as an important green space for local residents to relax and stroll. The entrance to the park is located on the southern side of Taihu Lake, and the area includes Taihu and Rong Garden, covering an expansive and lush landscape with a total area of 50 hectares. Upon entering the park, the first sight is the magnificent archway and the bronze statue of Chiang Ching-kuo—holding a military hat and appearing benevolent, with the shimmering waters of Taihu Lake behind him. The park features shaded pine forests, a lakeside walking path, stone sculptures, pavilions, and small bridges, offering a tranquil and pleasant environment. The area also includes a children's playground, making it suitable for family visits. It is one of the few multifunctional parks in Kinmen that combines commemorative significance with natural scenery. Whether you wish to stroll by the lake, admire the greenery, or take your children to play, Chiang Ching-kuo Memorial Park is a city oasis in Kinmen worth visiting.
