Chiang Kai-shek Park Introduction
In memory of the anniversary of the passing of President Chiang Chung-Cheng, the military and civilians of Kinmen jointly built Cihu Park in 1976 to express their nostalgia for his "virtue benefiting Kinmen." This park not only carries historical sentiment but has also become an important green space for local residents to relax and walk. The entrance to Cihu Park is located on the south side of Taihu Lake, and the park includes Taihu and Rongyuan, covering an expansive area of 50 hectares, lush and green. Upon entering the park, the first thing that catches the eye is the majestic archway and the statue of Chiang Chung-Cheng—holding a military cap and with a kind expression, with the shimmering Taihu Lake in the background. The park is shaded by pine forests and features a lakeside walking trail, stone sculptures, pavilions, and small bridges, offering a tranquil and pleasant environment. The area also has a children's playground suitable for parent-child activities, making it one of the few multifunctional parks in Kinmen that combines commemorative significance with natural scenery. Whether you want to stroll by the lake, appreciate the greenery, or let your children play around, Cihu Park is a city oasis in Kinmen worth visiting.
