Chiang Kai-shek Park Introduction
To commemorate the anniversary of the death of President Chiang Ching-kuo, the military and civilians of Kinmen jointly built Zhongzheng Park in 1976 to express their remembrance of his "virtue benefiting Kinmen." This park not only carries historical sentiment but also serves as an important green space for locals to relax and walk. The entrance to Zhongzheng Park is located on the south side of Taihu, and the park includes Taihu and Rongyuan, covering an extensive area of 50 hectares with lush greenery. Upon entering the park, you are greeted by an impressive archway and a bronze statue of Chiang Ching-kuo—holding a military hat and appearing benevolent, with the shimmering Taihu lakeside behind him. The park is shaded by pine trees and features lake-view walking paths, stone sculptures, pavilions, and small bridges, creating a tranquil and pleasant environment. The park also includes a children's sports playground, making it suitable for family outings. It is one of the few multifunctional parks in Kinmen that combines commemorative significance with natural landscapes. Whether you want to stroll by the lake, enjoy the greenery, or let your children play, Zhongzheng Park is a city oasis in Kinmen worth visiting.
