Kinmen Animal Husbandry Experiment Station Introduction
Established in 1958, the Kinmen County Livestock Experiment Station was originally the Kinmen County Horse Farm. It was renamed Kinmen County Livestock Farm in 1979 and then transformed into the Kinmen County Livestock Experiment Station in 1985. The institution is dedicated to the development of the local livestock industry and the production and sale of "Pasture" fresh milk. Since 2011, it has introduced Australian Brangus cattle for breeding management and promotion, while also continuing to promote the local specialty "Kinmen Sorghum Beef." The facility currently includes a petting zoo, a data center, a farmers' classroom, a horse riding area, the Panguela Prairie, the Brangus cattle area, and the sika deer area, along with a viewing platform converted from an anti-aircraft bunker that visitors can tour. In recent years, the Kinmen County Livestock Experiment Station has actively transformed into a regional leisure ranch, explaining the local livestock industry to tourists and conducting outdoor experience activities. Future plans include developing family-oriented experiential tours. Don't miss the chance to taste the station's homemade products, especially its special fresh milk and various flavored popsicles that are truly addictive!
