Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Forest Introduction
Adjacent to the northern shore of Sun Moon Lake, the entrance gate is designed in the style of Zhejiang residential architecture. A pavilion stands before the gate, and there are leaky windows set in the stone walls on both sides, subtly revealing the tranquil garden scenery through the window grilles. The memorial park covers an area of 6 hectares, with verdant mountains and fields across a pond facing the entrance gate. A curved bridge and a waterside pavilion add to the charm, meandering intricately, while beneath the pond, lotus and water lilies compete for beauty. Outside the pond, dense forests of banyan, fir, and camphor trees create a serene walking path that blends the unique charm of garden landscaping with the lushness of the mountains and fields.
