Kinmen Cultural Center and Historical Folk Museum Introduction

The Kinmen Museum of History and Folklore opened on December 25, 2010, and the management unit "Kinmen County Cultural Park Management Office" was established on January 1, 2014. Located by the Jinhua River on the eastern peninsula of Kinmen, it is set against the backdrop of Mount Taiwu and JinGui Mountain, featuring Fujian-style architecture that harmonizes with the surrounding landscape of lake and water, showcasing a picturesque view. The museum, grounded in Kinmen studies, is dedicated to preserving and displaying the historical culture and traditional customs of Kinmen. It presents a multifaceted view of the island's characteristics and local perspectives while highlighting the important connections and values of Kinmen's culture in relation to Taiwan, the cross-strait context, and the international community. Its goal is to transform into the Kinmen Museum, creating a museum that is accessible to everyone, shaping Kinmen as a "cultural entrance and a tourism starting point."
