Kinmen Historical and Cultural Museum Introduction

The Kinmen Museum of History and Folklore opened on December 25, 2010, and the management unit "Kinmen County Cultural Park Management Office" was established on January 1, 2014. It is located by the Jinsha Stream in the eastern peninsula of Kinmen, with Mount Taiwu and Jinguishan complementing each other in the background. The Fujian-style architecture is nestled among mountains and waters, surrounded by picturesque lake views. The Kinmen Museum of History and Folklore is based on Kinmen studies and is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the historical culture and traditional customs of Kinmen. It presents various facets of the island's landscape and local perspectives, demonstrating the important connections and values of Kinmen's culture in relation to Taiwan, cross-strait interactions, and international contexts. The goal is to transform it into a museum that is accessible to everyone, shaping Kinmen as a "cultural gateway and tourism starting point."
