Kinmen Museum of History and Folklore Introduction

The Kinmen Museum of History and Folklore was opened on December 25, 2010, and the management unit "Kinmen County Cultural Park Management Office" was established on January 1, 2014. Located by the Jinsha River on the eastern peninsula of Kinmen, it is flanked by Mount Taiwu and Mount Jingu, featuring Min-style architecture that nestles between the mountains and waters, surrounded by picturesque lake views. The Kinmen Museum of History and Folklore is built on the foundation of Kinmen studies and is dedicated to preserving and showcasing Kinmen's historical culture and traditional folk customs. It presents various aspects of the island's landscape and local perspectives, demonstrating Kinmen's important connections and values in relation to Taiwan, the cross-strait region, and the international community. The goal is to transform into the Kinmen Museum, creating a museum that is accessible to everyone and shaping Kinmen as a "cultural gateway and tourism starting point."
