Kinmen National Park Cultural Park and Traditional Folk Museum Introduction

The Kinmen Museum of History and Folklore was opened on December 25, 2010, and the Kinmen County Cultural Park Management Office was established on January 1, 2014. It is located along the banks of the Jinsha River in the eastern peninsula of Kinmen, complementing the scenery of Taiwu Mountain and Jinguishan. The Minnan-style architecture is situated near the water and surrounded by picturesque lakes and landscapes. The Kinmen Museum of History and Folklore is based on the study of Kinmen, dedicated to preserving and displaying the historical culture and traditional folklore of Kinmen. It presents a multi-faceted view of the island’s features and local perspectives, showcasing the important connections and values of Kinmen's culture within Taiwan, cross-strait relations, and international contexts. The goal is to transform into a museum that is accessible to everyone, shaping Kinmen as a "cultural gateway and a starting point for tourism."
