Kinmen Historical and Cultural Museum Introduction

The Kinmen Historical and Folk Museum opened on December 25, 2010, and the management unit "Kinmen County Cultural Park Management Office" was established on January 1, 2014. It is located by the Jinsha River on the eastern peninsula of Kinmen, complemented by the presence of Mount Taiwu and Jinguishan. The Minnan-style architecture is set against the mountains and waters, surrounded by a picturesque landscape. The Kinmen Historical and Folk Museum is based on Kinmen studies and is dedicated to preserving and showcasing Kinmen's historical culture and traditional customs. It presents a multifaceted view of the island's character and local perspective and demonstrates the important connections and values of Kinmen's culture within Taiwan and in relation to the cross-strait and international arenas. The goal is to transform into the Kinmen Museum, creating a museum that is accessible to everyone, shaping Kinmen as a "cultural gateway and a starting point for tourism."
