Huang Hsuan-Hsien's Six-Road Mansion Introduction
Huang Xuanxian was born in the middle of the Qianlong period. His father held the position of Hanwaijiang, and his descendants became successful in business in Nanyang. The Huang residence features a Min-style architecture with five main bays and side double dragon carvings, known as the "Six Road Mansion." A dragon-shaped ridge and a hipped roof harmoniously connect at the front and back. The façade is adorned with exquisite wood carvings, while the waterwheel is decorated with colorful paintings and cutouts of auspicious flowers, birds, all showcasing the strength of the local expatriates and their pride in their ancestors.
