New Hundred Kings Restaurant Introduction
Founded in 1979, Xin Bai Wang Restaurant is a famous traditional Chinese restaurant in Taoyuan, specializing in Hakka cuisine and seafood dishes. Over the years, it has received numerous awards, including the Golden Store Award from Taoyuan City in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, as well as the Golden Gift Award in 2020 and recognition as an excellent restaurant in 2015 for the Taoyuan Citizen Card. Initially operated on a reservation basis for banquets, the restaurant faced a critical crossroads ten years ago, similar to many old establishments, between transforming or maintaining traditional practices. Ultimately, with the aim of cultivating new successors and the mission of preserving Hakka cuisine, the owner transformed the restaurant into a storefront business. Recommended dishes include sweet sauce chives and fresh oyster rolls, Xin Bai Wang rice cake, shrimp with golden mango, red quinoa grass jelly chicken soup, steamed seasonal fish with salt winter melon, and soft squid rice noodle pot. The restaurant has also been certified as a Muslim Friendly Restaurant (MFR), meaning it is managed by non-Muslims but caters to Muslim-friendly dining needs.
