Established in 1979, Xin Bai Wang Restaurant is a renowned traditional Chinese restaurant in Taoyuan, specializing in Hakka cuisine and seafood dishes. Over the years, it has won numerous awards, including being recognized as a Gold Medal Restaurant in Taoyuan City in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, as well as receiving the Taoyuan Citizen Card Excellent Restaurant title in 2015. Initially operating on a reservation-based banquet model, Xin Bai Wang Restaurant faced a crossroads a decade ago, like many long-standing establishments, between transformation and maintaining traditional practices. Ultimately, in order to cultivate new successors and uphold the mission of passing down Hakka culinary traditions, the owner transformed the restaurant into a storefront while continuing its legacy. Recommended dishes include Sweet Sauce Leek and Fresh Oyster Rolls, Xin Bai Wang Rice Cake, Mango Silk Shrimp, Red Quinoa Herbal Chicken Soup, Steamed Seasonal Fish with Salted Winter Melon, and Soft-Shelled Turtle Vermicelli Pot. The restaurant is certified as a Muslim Friendly Restaurant by the Chinese Islamic Association (MFR, a restaurant operated by non-Muslims).
