The Yunlin River Food Plaza is located on Chengding Street in Douliu City, commonly referred to by locals as the "Covered Night Market" or "Snack Market." In the early 1970s, vendors initially gathered to do business along Zhonghua Road, Zhongzheng Road, and Gongzheng Street, but later, due to regulation by the township office at the time, they were concentrated on Gongzheng Street. Years later, as the number of stalls increased, it led to growing crowds, resulting in a dirty environment and traffic congestion on Gongzheng Street. In response, the Douliu City Office utilized the Yunlin River Covered Plaza to construct the current "Yunlin River Vendor Concentration Area," which has become a popular leisure spot for Douliu residents. Here you can find a variety of small eats and quick-fried seafood shops, making it a complete and leisurely snack world.
