In the early 1970s, vendors originally gathered on Zhonghua Road, Zhongzheng Road, and Gongzheng Street for business. Later, due to restructuring by the town office at the time, they were concentrated on Gongzheng Street. Years later, with the increasing number of stalls leading to more crowds, the environment on Gongzheng Street became dirty and the road congested. The Douliu City Office then utilized the Yunlin River and built the current "Yunlin River Vendor Concentration Area," which has become a favorite leisure spot for Douliu residents. Here, you can find a variety of snacks and fast-cooked seafood restaurants, creating a complete world of casual dining.
