Yunlin River Food Plaza Introduction
The Yunlin River Food Square is located on Chengding Street in Douliu City and is popularly known among residents as the "Covered Night Market" or "Snack Market" where various vendors gather. In the early 1970s, vendors originally set up along Zhonghua Road, Zhongzheng Road, and Gongzheng Street for business. After being organized by the then-town office, they were concentrated on Gongzheng Street. A few years later, as the number of stalls increased and the crowds grew, it led to a messy environment and traffic congestion on Gongzheng Street. Consequently, the Douliu City Office utilized the Yunlin River to construct the current "Yunlin River Vendor Concentration Area," which has become a great place for leisure for the people of Douliu. Here, you can find a wide variety of snacks and quick-cooked seafood restaurants, making it a complete and relaxing snack world that you must visit to enjoy when in Yunlin.
