A-Yu Sticky Rice Rolls Introduction
Ah Yu Mochi, the first store dedicated to "Mochi" on Jinshan Old Street, has stood for over 20 years. Originally helping her family by working with her mother, Ah Yu, played by Guo Li-yun, learned excellent skills and transformed the traditional offering for deities into a year-round snack. She later introduced various flavors, breaking away from the basic versions that only used peanut and sesame, making it a well-known souvenir in the Jinshan area. Even former New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu and other dignitaries are frequent customers, and it has become one of the official gifts of the city government. The early Mochi was larger in size, but it has now been improved into a compact form that is very popular with young people, allowing them to experience a taste of pure happiness.
