Qiao Nan Gourmet Coffee Introduction
No. 16 Old House is a well-preserved example of traditional Taiwanese street architecture. This type of street house features a half-loft design with a skylight, allowing goods to be transported up and down. Each level has a courtyard to enhance natural lighting, and it also includes a waterway corridor that functions as a kitchen. Due to the successful community development of Qiaonan Old Street, Yeh Nai-Wei, who previously ran a second-hand car café in Wushulin, Houbi District, returned to his hometown to engage in community building and transformed No. 16 Old House into a café, filling Qiaonan Old Street with the aroma of Taiwanese organic coffee. It is worth mentioning that Mr. Yeh is a vinyl record enthusiast, and the walls of the old house are plastered with record covers he collected from different places. Sipping a cup of coffee, you might suddenly hear old songs coming from a vintage turntable, so don’t be surprised if you feel like you’ve wandered into a time tunnel. No. 13 Food Hall is seamlessly connected to No. 16 Café, allowing visitors to explore.
