Tainan County Melon Cooperative Introduction
Tainan's classic souvenir: Where can you find the large and sweet cantaloupe? It's right in the district of Houbi, Tainan County! In the past, most people believed that to taste good cantaloupe, it had to be imported from Japan; however, Taiwan has its own homegrown top-quality cantaloupe. Not only are the fruits large, but they also have a rich and fragrant flesh, a refined and juicy texture, and extremely high sweetness. Additionally, they are produced year-round and even exported to Canada and other places, matching the quality of imported goods! It was also the only fruit selected in the Tainan County souvenir competition before 2008.
