Tainan City Melon Cooperative Introduction
Tainan's classic souvenir: Where can you find the large and sweet cantaloupe? It’s in the township of Houbi, Tainan County! In the past, most people thought that to enjoy delicious cantaloupe, it had to be imported from Japan; however, Taiwan has its own native premium cantaloupe. Not only are the fruits large, with rich and fragrant flesh, a delicate and juicy texture, and extremely high sweetness, but they are also produced year-round and even exported to places like Canada, with quality that is on par with imported goods! It was also the only fruit selected in the Tainan County souvenir competition before 2008.
