Tainan's classic souvenirs: Where to find the large and sweet cantaloupes? It's in the Houbi Township of Tainan County! Many people used to think that in order to enjoy delicious cantaloupes, they had to be imported from Japan. However, Taiwan has its own premium cantaloupes that are not only large in size, but also have fragrant, dense flesh, a delicate and juicy texture, and extremely high sweetness. They are produced year-round and even exported to places like Canada, with quality that is on par with imported goods! It was also the only fruit selected in the Tainan County souvenir competition before 2008.
