Eight-Sided Pavilion Introduction
The Octagonal Tower is a wooden mansion built in 1847, during a time when the Yan Shui Yue Jin Harbor was bustling with merchant ships and busy with traders. The wealthy sugar merchant Ye family commissioned craftsmen from Tangshan to construct it, using materials such as Fuzhou cedar and bricks brought over from China, making it a luxurious residence of that era.
