From market to opening, "Siwei" leaves a lasting impression. Near Meishan Park in Meishan Township, Chiayi County, there is a forty-year-old establishment—Siwei Snack. Their mushroom meat thick soup and pork rib rice may seem ordinary, but they have a distinctly different flavor. The pork pieces in the mushroom meat thick soup are made from pure meat; the fried pork ribs have a tender pink appearance and offer a unique aroma. The owner, Li Shen-Xiu-Zi, laughs and explains that because they use red yeast rice, the ribs look better after frying and have a subtle hint of wine aroma! From selling Siwei juice to now, although the offerings have changed, the owner's heartfelt care for customers has remained consistent for forty years.
