"Hei Pi" is a phonetic translation of the word "happy." The third-generation owner of Hei Pi Seafood Restaurant, You Zhihao, aims to provide guests with a joyful dining environment. Having previously worked as a R&D technician at the Zhengxiang Food Company in Puzi City, the young and creative You Zhihao has developed the restaurant's signature dish, the Giant Crispy Seafood Meatball, made from eight local seafood ingredients, blending Western and Chinese culinary styles, which is very popular among consumers. Hei Pi Seafood Restaurant is located adjacent to the Budai Tourist Fish Market, and to accommodate the continuous influx of tour buses, the restaurant has twenty tables for group dining. The most famous dish is the Giant Crispy Seafood Meatball, which can weigh up to 300 grams when sauced, making it a frequent winner in annual meatball competitions. It is also sold on their website and available for delivery. You Zhihao has also opened chain stores in Chiayi City and Minxiong to expand the Hei Pi seafood cuisine brand. With a strong academic background and expertise in internet marketing, You Zhihao has positioned Hei Pi Seafood Restaurant as one of the few in the coastal Chiayi area effectively utilizing online marketing. Due to his creative culinary marketing, various television food programs have reported on the restaurant, attracting many visitors. The "Giant Crispy Seafood Meatball" currently holds the title for the largest mass-produced meatball in the country, weighing 9 taels (around 33 grams) without sauce.
