Xihu Resort - Yuhua Court Chinese Restaurant Introduction
Miaoli County Specialty Cuisine Certification Category: Chinese Cuisine; Wi-Fi available; The Xihu Resort is located in Xihu Village, Sanyi Township, Miaoli County (next to the Sanyi Interchange on National Highway No. 3). Established in 1989 by Mr. Chen Ying-sheng, a pioneer in the construction industry in central Taiwan, there is a natural lake called "Deqing Lake" beside the park. Deqing Lake was originally named "Guaizi Lake," where frogs gather and thrive, creating a chorus of croaks in the summer. The Hakka pronunciation for frogs is "Guaizi," hence the name. In the 48th year of the Republic, it was renamed Deqing Lake. Deqing Lake, located in Xihu Village, Sanyi Township, covers an area of approximately 10 hectares and is surrounded by mountains, presenting a beautiful landscape that rivals West Lake in Hangzhou, China. Therefore, the local residents also refer to it as "Xihu." Mr. Chen Ying-sheng hopes to combine the romantic misty scenery and woodcarving art of the Sanyi area to create a resort that is as renowned as West Lake in Hangzhou, hence the name "Xihu Resort."
