Fire Mountain Forest Ecological Education Center Introduction
The Huoyan Mountain Forest Ecology Education Center is a three-story building with two basement levels, featuring a landscape design that showcases the unique natural characteristics of Huoyan Mountain both in its exterior and interior design. The Center is located in the administrative center of Sanyi Township, Miaoli County, and officially opened on April 16, 2005. Since August 2009, it has been managed by the Biodiversity Research Center of National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, commissioned by the Hsinchu Forest District Office of the Forestry Bureau. The goal is to integrate the existing exhibition facilities with high-quality course planning to provide a teaching venue for the general public and schools at all levels, focusing on Taiwan's geology, landscapes, and forest ecology. It also aims to serve as an intellectual attraction for tourists visiting the Miaoli area, fostering public awareness of environmental resources and encouraging active participation in conservation efforts to achieve sustainable environmental education.
