Huoyan Mountain Forest Ecological Education Center Introduction
The Huoyan Mountain Forest Ecology Education Center is a landscape building with three above-ground floors and two underground levels, featuring distinctive natural characteristics of Huoyan Mountain in both its exterior and interior design. The center is located in the administrative center of Sanyi Township, Miaoli County, and officially opened on April 16, 2005. Since August 2009, it has been managed by the Biodiversity Research Center of National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, commissioned by the Hsinchu Forest District Office of the Forestry Bureau. It aims to combine existing exhibition facilities with high-quality course planning, serving as an educational venue for the general public and schools regarding Taiwan's geological landscapes and forest ecology. At the same time, it has become an intellectual attraction for tourists visiting the Miaoli area, raising public awareness of environmental resources and encouraging participation in conservation actions to achieve the goal of sustainable environmental education.
