Fire Mountain Forest Ecological Education Center Introduction
The Huoyanshan Forest Ecological Education Center is a landscape building with three above-ground floors and two underground levels, showcasing the unique natural features of Huoyanshan in both its exterior and interior design. The center is located in the administrative center of Sanyi Township, Miaoli County, and officially opened on April 16, 2005. Since August 2009, it has been operated and managed by the Biodiversity Research Center of National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, commissioned by the Forestry Bureau of Hsinchu District Office. The aim is to integrate the existing exhibition facilities with high-quality course planning, providing a venue for the general public and schools at all levels to learn about Taiwan's geological landscapes and forest ecology. Additionally, it serves as an intellectual attraction for visitors to the Miaoli area, raising public awareness of environmental resources and encouraging participation in conservation actions to achieve the goal of sustainable environmental education.
