Fire Mountain Forest Ecological Education Center Introduction
The Huoyan Mountain Forest Ecological Education Center is a landscape building with three above-ground floors and two underground floors, showcasing the unique natural characteristics of Huoyan Mountain in both its exterior and interior design. The center is located in the administrative hub of Sanyi Township, Miaoli County, and officially opened on April 16, 2005. Since August 2009, it has been managed by the Pingtung University of Science and Technology Biodiversity Research Center under the commission of the Hsinchu Forestry District Office of the Forestry Bureau. The aim is to integrate the existing exhibition facilities with high-quality course planning to provide a teaching venue for the general public and various educational institutions on Taiwan's geological landscapes and forest ecology. At the same time, it serves as an intellectual attraction for tourists visiting the Miaoli area, raising public awareness of environmental resources and encouraging active participation in conservation actions to achieve sustainable environmental education.
