Fire Mountain Forest Ecological Education Center Introduction
The Huoyan Mountain Forest Ecological Education Center is a scenic building with three above-ground floors and two underground levels, showcasing the unique natural features of Huoyan Mountain in its exterior and interior design. The center is located in the administrative center of Sanyi Township, Miaoli County, and was officially opened on April 16, 2005. Since August 2009, it has been operated and managed by the Biodiversity Research Center of National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, under the commission of the Hsinchu Forest District Office of the Forestry Bureau. The aim is to integrate the existing display facilities with quality course planning, providing a teaching venue for the general public and various educational institutions regarding Taiwan's geological landscapes and forest ecology. At the same time, it serves as an intellectual visiting spot for tourists heading to the Miaoli area, raising public awareness about environmental resources and encouraging active participation in conservation efforts to achieve sustainable environmental education.
