Old Mountain Railway Bike Introduction

The Railbike revitalizes the old Mountain Line track, allowing visitors to experience the beauty of the Sanyi Mountain City culture. The old Mountain Line was completed in 1908 and is regarded as the "ultimate aesthetic of modern railway craftsmanship." It has not been in operation since 1998 due to operational cost issues. However, the rich railway technology, forest landscape, and cultural scenery along the route have led the county government to preserve and rejuvenate this historical site by utilizing the old railway system. They have created Taiwan's first "Railbike Old Mountain Line," allowing tourists to experience the beauty of the old Mountain Line in a low-carbon and eco-friendly way, earning certification as an "International Slow City" from Italy! The thoughtful and safe riding facilities can accommodate 4 people per carriage. Each carriage is equipped with GPS positioning, audiovisual tour guide services, and an emergency rescue reporting system. Special designs include boarding and alighting platforms, handrails, instrument panels, storage racks, cup holders, sunshades, and transparent PS rain shields. Notably, in addition to pedaling manually, electric assistance is also provided, so riders don't have to worry about fatigue and can easily enjoy the scenery along the route. The journey from Shengsing Station to Liyu Lake is a round trip of 12 kilometers and passes by 5 beautiful sights along the old Mountain Line! - The highest railway station on the Western Line - Shengsing Station - The LED light projection of the century-old railway - No. 2 Time Tunnel - The stunning county-designated historic site - Yutengping Iron Bridge and the Longteng Broken Bridge Ruins - The rarely seen layered beauty of Lian Tunnel - the straight tunnel group No. 3, 4, 5, and 6 - The breathtaking view of the emerald green Liyu Lake Reservoir
