Xiluo Black Rice Cake Introduction
Rice cake made from glutinous rice needs no further introduction as it is a famous snack in the small town. Across from the lively market on Jianxing Road, there is a small shop with no sign, just two yellow cloth banners that read "rice cake." The second-generation owner, who has been running the shop for 50 years, humorously remarked that even the banners were made two months ago at the request of customers. The steaming basket used for making rice cakes has that deep old-fashioned charm after 50 years.
