Baodaxiang Melon Seeds Introduction
Insisting on Sun-Drying with a Taste of Sunshine: The Zengwen Riverbank was once the largest sunflower seed production area in Taiwan, with Madou being the main manufacturing and wholesale center. Baodaxiang is the founding shop for licorice-flavored soy sauce sunflower seeds. The family has adhered to the traditional sun-drying method for three generations, giving the seeds a taste reminiscent of sun-dried sunshine. First, the seeds are soaked for an entire day, occasionally stirred for a spa treatment. The next morning, they are given a warm wash, then simmered with licorice and soy sauce. After cooking, the seeds are sun-dried, and finally mixed with coconut oil for a finishing touch, making the entire production process take one to two days. Low Sugar, Low Salt, Emphasizing Ingredients: While sunflower seeds can be made using salad oil and machine drying, this method often results in an oily odor, making them unpleasant to chew. Baodaxiang insists on spa treatments, sun-drying, low sugar, and low salt, using higher-cost soy sauce and coconut oil.
