Sun Moon Lake Bicycle Station Introduction
The station is located opposite the entrance of the Sun Moon Lake Cable Car Station (next to the entrance of the Sun Moon Lake Youth Activity Center) and is the only store in the area that offers bicycle rental services. It provides rentals of Giant brand bicycles, which are regularly maintained. There are various ways to reach the station: one can take a boat to Ita Thao Pier and walk along the Ita Thao Riverside Trail towards the Sun Moon Lake Cable Car Station; or take the cable car from the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village to the Sun Moon Lake Cable Car Station; or take the lake tour bus and get off at the cable car station. If it rains or the weather is not good, the store may not be open, so it is recommended to inquire in advance. During the International Fireworks and Music Festival held every autumn, special bicycle rental discounts are offered to foreign tourists, which can be requested at the store. Rental services include: free parking and Wi-Fi usage; information and itinerary planning for the round-the-lake route and Water Frog Head bike path (with discounts on boat tickets, cable cars, food, and accommodation); road rescue services; professional explanations on bicycle operation and hazard awareness; item storage; use of Giant mountain bikes that are regularly maintained; and free provision of safety helmets and locks for rentals.
