Tofu Cape Scenic Area Introduction
Tofu Cape, located on the eastern side of Nanfang'ao Fishing Port, is formed by the connection of Lulian Island and Lian Island Sandbar, and is also known as "Shajiang Cape," making it the largest sand neck formation in Taiwan. The arched cove faces the ocean, with reef rocks resembling tofu, contributing to its unique landscape, hence the name Tofu Cape. A coastal trail is planned with rich facilities for visitors to stroll through. The bay is a great spot for swimming and snorkeling, and nearby Bihack Mountain features steep cliffs and abundant fishing resources, attracting many rock fishing enthusiasts. Tofu Cape, facing east, is an excellent spot to watch the sunrise, with brilliant morning light, or to enjoy the sunset with the evening glow and fishing boats returning, all providing stunning scenes. Tofu Cape is protected by a breakwater, offering calm waves, allowing visitors to dive into the colorful underwater world of Tofu Cape with a coach, closely engaging with marine ecology and admiring fish swimming among the coral reefs, experiencing the joy of being surrounded by schools of fish. Tofu Cape also features a new water activity that is easier to master than surfing: "SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboarding)." This mainly consists of a large surfboard and a paddle taller than the user, as an extension of surfing activities. It is recommended to hire a coach who is familiar with the terrain and sea conditions when engaging in water activities to ensure safety while having fun.
