Tofu Cape Scenic Area Introduction
On the east side of Nanfang'ao Fishing Port, connected by Lian Island and Lian Island Sandbar, it is also known as "Shajing Cape," which is the largest sand neck formation in Taiwan. The arched cove faces the ocean, with reef rocks resembling tofu, which is why it is called Tofu Cape. Along the coastal trail, there are well-planned facilities that allow visitors to enjoy the area. The bay is a great spot for swimming and snorkeling, and the nearby Biji Mountain has steep cliffs and rich fishing resources, attracting many anglers. Tofu Cape faces east, making it an excellent spot to catch the sunrise, where the morning glow is spectacular, and during sunset, the afterglow along with returning fishing boats creates a beautiful scene. Tofu Cape is protected by a breakwater, keeping the waves calm, allowing visitors to dive into the colorful world of Tofu Cape with a guide, getting up close to the marine ecology and admiring fish swimming among the coral reefs, experiencing the joy of being surrounded by schools of fish. Tofu Cape also offers an emerging water activity that is easier to learn than surfing, called "SUP stand-up paddleboarding," which involves a large surfboard and a paddle taller than the user. When engaging in water activities, it is recommended to hire a coach who is familiar with the terrain and sea conditions to ensure safety while having fun.
