NanFangAo Scenic Platform Introduction
The magnificent bird's-eye view of Nanfangao Fishing Harbor has always been a must-see scenic spot for many photography enthusiasts. The Nanfangao Observation Deck, built on the cliffs, has become the best location for photography. Standing on the wooden observation deck, visitors can enjoy a vast view of the endless Pacific Ocean, the rolling Bijia Mountain, the unique Tofu Cape landscape, and the classic beauty of ships docked at the fishing harbor. On clear days, it is also possible to glimpse the distant Guishan Island! The Nanfangao Observation Deck, located at the 108-kilometer mark of the Suhua Highway, was expanded and renovated from the original parking lot and sits at an altitude of about 140 meters. This height is sufficient to overlook the Shuang'ao Fishing Harbor under the blue sky and sea. The spacious outdoor platform is free of any obstructions, making every spot a great angle for enjoyment of the view. When you visit here, don't hesitate to take out your phone or camera to capture the stunning scenery of Nanfangao where the sea and sky meet! As the day progresses, the observation deck offers a chance to appreciate the diverse changes in scenery. The morning hues of the sunrise gently brighten the day at Nanfangao Fishing Harbor; the afternoon sunshine adds vibrancy and brilliance to the harbor; and as the sun sets and night falls, the sky transitions from fiery red to the twinkling lights of fishing lamps, bringing the tranquil night to the fishing village of Nanfangao. If you wish to take in the beautiful harbor landscape and the coastal mountains, both Nanan Elementary School and the Nanfangao Observation Deck are highly recommended spots.
