Doufu Cape Recreation Area Introduction
Cape Tofu is a picturesque small bay in Nanfangao, formed by the sandy neck topography connecting Dulan Island and Lian Island Sandbank. It is named for its unique tofu-shaped rock formations, attracting many travelers who come to admire the rocks. There are a variety of recreational activities available here, especially during the summer when the waves are calm; the curved bay entrance is perfect for swimming and snorkeling, allowing visitors to closely observe fish swimming among the coral reefs, connecting with the ocean and enjoying nature. Along the coastal trail, one can stroll along the coastal terrace area, scenic forest rest area, and coral coastal area, while also enjoying distant views of Bijiashan between Neipi Bay and the thrilling sight of anglers climbing down the cliffs. In addition to enjoying the water and watching the waves, the east-facing Cape Tofu is an excellent spot for viewing the sunrise, with the sun slowly rising from the sea, casting gentle morning light over Nanfangao; or during sunset, when the evening glow creates shimmering reflections, illuminating the fishing boats returning to shore. The scenery in the daytime and nighttime each has its unique charm. The nearby cross-sea bridge is Asia's first single-beam suspension bridge, spanning the fishing port channel and connecting the north and south shores of Nanfangao, making it the most striking landmark in the area! In recent years, a new water activity has emerged at Cape Tofu, which is easier to learn than surfing: "SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboarding)." This activity consists of a large surfboard and a paddle taller than the person using it, making it an extension of surfing. Remember, whether snorkeling or paddleboarding, it is best to have a coach familiar with the local terrain and waters to ensure safety while having fun! 【Reminder】There are no management personnel in this area, and visitors should avoid entering late at night. Please pay attention to relevant notices while enjoying the area and refrain from heading into deep or dangerous areas to avoid hazards.
