Zhu Dayu Cultural and Creative Center Introduction
Nanfangao Fishing Port in Su'ao Township, Yilan, has preserved traditional fishing gear and methods since the 1920s during the Japanese colonial period, adding a touch of Japanese fishing culture to the local fishing families. Many customs from Japanese fishing culture have been passed down, with "Blessing for Abundant Catch" being one of them. In the early fishing village, whenever a new boat was launched, friends and family would present a "Bountiful Catch Flag" to convey their blessings and solidarity. Therefore, the Su'ao Fishermen's Association established the "Blessing for Abundant Catch Cultural and Creative Museum" at the end of 2015, hoping to continue to preserve and pass on this culturally rich fishing village tradition, providing the most authentic fishing village cultural experiences with the freshest catches and the most genuine flavors from local fishing moms. This allows every visitor to take away the core values of "Health, Happiness, Safety, and Blessings for Abundant Catch". The 360-degree simulated 3D vortex tunnel, Fish Twister Tunnel, is a masterpiece by Taiwan's leading 3D illusion artist, Master Tu Long. It depicts the iconic marine life of Nanfangao Fishing Port, including the swordfish, mackerel, yellowfin tuna, and coral reefs. Master Tu Long employs special 3D painting techniques and fluorescent paints to bring the fish within the 3D vortex tunnel to life, making it feel as if one is truly immersed in this mysterious underwater world. The South 4Q project will be designed using the four types of fish that are most abundant in Nanfangao, allowing the public to view local fish products with more than just a stereotypical impression and enabling a clearer understanding of Nanfangao's most distinctive fish species. Little Mackerel (Mackerel): Lively, active, and adorably bouncy in appearance, enjoys camping trips with a group of friends around a campfire at night. Banana Girl (Sailfish): A charming little swimmer with a love for beautiful attire, often dressed in extravagant outfits that attract attention, but her stunning appearance can be deceiving. The Ghost (Swordfish): Appears a bit comical but is passionate and loyal inside, the first choice for a modern "good man," embodying the saying, "I may be ugly, but I am gentle." Brother Shark (Shark): Strong and powerful, naturally sociable but timid, with a sensitive sense of smell and electric sensitivity, he can quickly find your hiding spot when playing hide and seek.
