Zhu Dayu Cultural and Creative Museum Introduction
"Nan'ao Fishing Port" in Su'ao Township, Yilan, has preserved traditional fishing gear and methods from the Japanese colonial government since the 1920s, giving the local fishing community a distinct Japanese cultural flavor. Many customs of Japanese fishing culture have been passed down, one of which is the "Blessing of Abundant Catch." In the early fishing villages, whenever a new boat was launched, friends and family would present a "Big Catch Flag" to convey their blessings and support for one another. Therefore, at the end of 2015, the Su'ao Fishermen's Association established the "Blessing of Abundant Catch Cultural and Creative Museum" with the hope of continuing to preserve and pass on this culturally rich tradition. It aims to provide the most authentic fishing village experiences, the freshest catches, and the most genuine flavors from local fisherwomen, allowing every visitor to embrace the spirit of "Health, Happiness, Safety, and Abundant Catch." The 360-degree simulated 3D Fish Tornado Tunnel, created by Taiwan's top 3D vision artist, Master Tu Long, depicts the most representative imagery of "Nan'ao Fishing Port," including the swordfish, mackerel, yellowfin tuna, and coral reefs. Master Tu Long employs a special 3D painting technique using fluorescent paint, making the fish in the Fish Tornado Tunnel come to life, simulating a real experience of being in this mysterious marine world. "Southern 4Q" will use the four most abundant fish species from Nan'ao to design and create works, allowing the public to see beyond the stereotypical impressions of local fish products and gain a clearer understanding of the unique fish species in the area. Little Qing (Mackerel): Lively and active, with a plump and cute appearance, enjoys camping and hanging out with friends, and loves to chat around the campfire at night. Banana Sister (Swordfish): A sporty little girl with a love for fashion, enjoys wearing eye-catching outfits, but her glamorous exterior can be quite intimidating. Ah Gui (Swordfish): Has a somewhat comical appearance but a warm heart. A loyal and affectionate companion, he is the ideal choice for a modern-day good man, living by the saying, "I may be ugly, but I am gentle." Ah Lang (Shark): Strong and powerful yet shy and reclusive, he possesses sensitive smell and electric sensing abilities, making him adept at playing hide-and-seek; he can quickly find your hiding spot.
