Shihpai County Boundary Park Introduction
Shihpai County Boundary Park is located at the junction of Pinglin District in New Taipei City and Toucheng Township in Yilan County, situated at the summit of the famous North-Yi Highway (Taiwan Route 9) with an elevation of approximately 538 meters. It was an important transportation hub for traversing the mountainous areas of Northern Taiwan, connecting Xindian and Yilan in the past. The park's unique geographical location at the top of the winding "Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns" section makes it a significant stop for vehicles and travelers to enjoy the scenery and take breaks. From here, a viewing platform (Jinmian Platform) has been established, allowing visitors to overlook the expansive beauty of Lanyang Plain, Guishan Island, and the Pacific Ocean. Especially on clear days, the stunning scenery is picturesque, making it one of the most representative viewpoints along the North-Yi Highway.
