Taiwan Theatre Museum Introduction
Established in 1990, it is the first museum in Yilan County and also the first public local museum in Taiwan. Its aim is to collect information on the development of Taiwanese theater and to investigate, collect, organize, and promote traditional Taiwanese folk theater. Yilan is the only hometown of the indigenous Taiwanese opera genre called "Gezaixi," which further enhances the representativeness of this museum.
