Originally an old railway dormitory area, the Jimmy Plaza was later transformed into a bus transfer center for national highways. Yilan is the hometown of the famous picture book artist Jimmy, so it was created as Taiwan's first Jimmy-themed plaza with the theme of "Moments of Memory,” while preserving the original historical buildings and old trees. Here, you can see the male and female protagonists from "Turn Left, Turn Right" hurrying off in their separate directions, or wait with the little boy and girl from "Starry Starry Night" for the bus that will never arrive, along with the suitcase from "The Subway" carrying the memories of travelers... Every piece of installation art in Jimmy Park evokes endless imagination and emotion. The Happiness Transfer Station, just a 5-minute walk away, is no longer just a fleeting impression; it encourages visiting tourists to slow down, spend more time lingering, appreciate the beautiful surroundings, and create lasting memories of this smile-filled place called Yilan.
