Jimi Square Introduction
When picture books step into the real world, have you ever imagined what they might look like? At the Jimmy Plaza near Yilan Train Station, the dreams of Jimmy fans have finally come true. The Jimmy Plaza was originally an old railway dormitory area, which later became a transfer center for national highway passenger transport. Yilan is the hometown of the renowned picture book artist Jimmy, so it has been themed as "Moments of Scenic Memories," making it the first Jimmy-themed plaza in Taiwan, while still preserving the original historical buildings and old trees. Here, you can see the male and female protagonists from "Turn Left, Turn Right" hurriedly leaving in their own directions, or wait with the boy and girl from "Starry Starry Night" for that bus that will never arrive, as well as the suitcase in "Underground," which carries the memories of travelers... Every piece of installation art in the Jimmy Park provides an infinite space for imagination and emotion. Additionally, the nearby Happiness Transfer Station, just a five-minute walk away, no longer gives the impression of hurriedness, allowing visitors to slow down, take their time, and appreciate the beautiful surroundings, creating lasting memories of Yilan, a place filled with smiles.
