Jimmy Plaza Introduction
Have you ever imagined what it would be like if picture books came to life? At the Jimmy Square near the Yilan train station, the dreams of Jimmy fans have finally come true. Originally an old railway dormitory area, Jimmy Square has been transformed into a transfer center for highway buses. Yilan is the hometown of the renowned picture book artist Jimmy, and the square was built with the theme of "Moments of Memory," making it the first Jimmy-themed square in Taiwan while also preserving the original historical buildings and old trees. Here, you can see the protagonists from "Turn Left, Turn Right" hurrying in their respective directions, or wait for the bus that never comes alongside the boy and girl from "Starry Starry Night." Each piece of installation art in Jimmy Park opens up endless imagination and emotion. Just a five-minute walk away is the Happy Transfer Station, which no longer gives the impression of hurried comings and goings, allowing visitors to slow down, take the time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and create lasting memories of this smile-inducing place called Yilan.
