Jimi Square Introduction

When picture books step into the real world, have you ever imagined what they would look like? At the Jimmy Plaza near the Yilan train station, the dreams of Jimmy fans have finally come true. Originally an old railway dormitory area, the plaza was later transformed into a transfer center for the National Highway passenger transport. Yilan is the hometown of the renowned picture book artist Jimmy, and thus it has been designed as the first Jimmy-themed plaza in Taiwan, with the theme of "Moments of Memory," while retaining the original historical buildings and old trees. Here, you can see the main characters from "Turn Left, Turn Right" hurriedly departing in their own directions or wait alongside the boy and girl from "Starry Starry Night" for the bus that will never arrive, as well as the suitcase carrying the travelers' memories from "The Subway" ... Every piece of installation art in Jimmy Park allows for infinite imagination and emotion. The Happiness Transfer Station, just a five-minute walk away, no longer gives a rushed impression. It encourages travelers to slow down, take their time to appreciate the surrounding beauty, and create lasting memories of this delightful place, Yilan.
