Waiao Beach Introduction
Wai'ao Beach, also known as Gang'ao Beach or Gang'ao Sands, is located outside Wushi Harbor, which was once bustling with ships, hence its name. Situated to the north of Wushi Harbor, Wai'ao Beach features a vast, flat, and clean sandy shore, where waves of white foam crash onto the beach, and the distant Turtle Island can be faintly seen. It is a favored area for family water activities and surfers. In addition to wading and playing in the sand, there are also exhilarating extreme sports that require skill and courage, such as paragliding and surfing. Walking along the coastal dike path while listening to the sound of the waves, gazing at Turtle Island, admiring the prowess of surfers, or looking up at the paragliders dancing in the sky allows one to enjoy a rare moment of leisure amidst a busy life. When tired from walking, visitors can enter the uniquely designed Wai'ao Service Area, with its bright yellow exterior, and sit by the fish pond to experience a foot spa as fish nibble away dead skin, or order a cup of coffee paired with the stunning blue sea and sandy beach—truly a great enjoyment in life.
