Daxi Shrine Introduction
Daxi Mausoleum was originally known as "Touliao Guesthouse," a very simple siheyuan (courtyard house) that was initially used for storing documents and archival materials from the Presidential Office. After the death of former President Chiang Ching-kuo in the 77th year of the Republic of China, the guesthouse was renamed "Daxi Mausoleum." Inside the mausoleum, there is only the memorial hall and office of Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo, with very simple furnishings that reflect his modest personality. The plum trees and dragon cypress in the garden enhance the elegant and fresh atmosphere. Daxi Mausoleum is about 1 kilometer away from Cihu Mausoleum, connected by a scenic walk for visitors to pay their respects. Along the way, the mountain and forest scenery changes colors with the seasons, allowing tourists to enjoy the beauty of the small streams and greenery.
