Daxi Mausoleum Introduction
Daxi Mausoleum was originally known as "Tou Liao Guesthouse." It is a very simple siheyuan (courtyard house) that originally served as a storage for documents and files of the Presidential Office. After the passing of former President Chiang Ching-kuo in 1988, it was renamed "Daxi Mausoleum." The interior of the mausoleum only includes a memorial hall and an office dedicated to Mr. Chiang, and the furnishings are very simple, reflecting his humble personality. The plum trees and dragon cypress in the courtyard add to the elegant and fresh atmosphere. Daxi Mausoleum is approximately 1 kilometer away from Cihu Mausoleum, and there is a scenic path connecting the two, allowing visitors to enjoy the changing colors of the mountain and forest landscapes with the seasons, as well as the beauty of the streams and greenery along the way.
