Nankang Creek Waterfront Park Introduction
The Nankan River flows through the three major areas of Guishan, Taoyuan, and Luzhu, and the six riverside parks along the route provide urban dwellers with the joy of enjoying water and greenery without having to travel far, reflecting a lifestyle attitude that values well-being. ■ Guishan First Riverside Park - Located beside Tongxin Second Road in Guishan District, surrounded by vast greenery and flowing streams, it includes various sports fields, a children's play area, and a leisure area for the elderly, making it a place where families can have fun together. The park also displays decommissioned military weapons, such as tanks, fighter jets, anti-aircraft guns, and ship anchors, resembling a small military history museum. The star and moon bridge with a blue structure has a vivid design, and the dazzling light sculptures add changing scenery to the riverside at night. ■ Taoyuan First Riverside Park - On the right bank of the Nankan River, from the Chenggong Bridge downstream to the Tianzhu Bridge, it features large heart-shaped sculptures, a Happiness Square, a red LOVE installation, a four-leaf clover pavilion, a heart-shaped lock trail, and the steel-structured Qingxi Rainbow Bridge. The brilliant light and shadow projections on the river create a romantic atmosphere, making it a popular dating spot at dusk. ■ Guo Ji River Riverside Park - Located along Sanyuan Street and next to Tianzhu Bridge in Taoyuan District, it features lawns, green belts, leisure trails, and bike paths, allowing people to walk and chase the wind while being close to nature. Visitors can also ascend the observation platform to admire the rich ecology along the riverside and enjoy the spacious views. ■ Pet Demonstration Park - Situated beside Ming Guang East Road in Taoyuan District, this park is specifically designed for pets, featuring climbing ladders, tire rings, and balance beams, allowing pets to play in a safe environment. The park includes cleaning facilities and dog waste bins (with plastic bags), providing a clean recreational area for visitors. Although the park covers only 0.3 hectares, it is exquisite and well-equipped, making it a great place to walk pets. ■ Jingguo Environmental Protection Park - Located along Jingguo Road in Taoyuan District, this lush park includes leisure trails that allow visitors to stroll easily through the urban jungle. The pet-friendly area features game tire rings and ramps, along with drinking water facilities and washing areas, fully equipped for pet activities. ■ Guangming Riverside Park - Covering approximately 21,000 square meters and located beside Section 2 of Guangming Road in Luzhu District, Guangming Riverside Park has basketball courts and fitness facilities suitable for all age groups, making it a great place for local residents to exercise and relax. The expansive green grass and the 30 cherry blossom trees in the park, which bloom in late winter to early spring, add to the tranquil charm of the riverside.
