Charming Golden Triangle Business District Introduction
The Charming Golden Triangle Business District is located in the Zhongzheng area of Longgang, Taoyuan City. It is named for its unique stores and residents who primarily come from the exotic Golden Triangle region of Myanmar and Laos, and it sits at the intersection of three cities: Zhongli, Pingzhen, and Bade. The business district is renowned for its food culture centered around immigrant communities from Myanmar and Laos, and although the original site of the Loyal Village (where the first wave of soldiers settled upon arriving in Taiwan) has been demolished and replaced by a high-rise building, the Loyal Market with its 400 traditional stalls, over 50 rice noodle shops, national flag-raising ceremonies, and the Yunnan Park music events continue to enrich the district with diverse culinary experiences, immigration stories, and multi-ethnic celebrations, forming the three main features of the area. Two major regional festivals are highlighted: the Longgang Rice Noodle Festival, held every April, showcases the diverse ethnic features of the Golden Triangle and the culinary cultures of Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand, becoming one of the most distinctive festive celebrations in Taiwan. Secondly, the Double Ten Carnival featuring the national flag-raising ceremony at the Flag House, coupled with an inter-ethnic parade and the Loyal Village special market, brings together a large Harley-Davidson motorcycle team and thousands of participants in ethnic costumes, making it a major regional event. The festival also includes unique ethnic music and dance performances and various dining establishments, earning the business district the honor of being ranked third in the national Charming Business District selection and second in the Story Business District selection. In 2022, the Exotic Story Museum was officially established to present the heroic history of the soldiers who fought valiantly on the Myanmar border and defended the security of the Taiwan Strait to the public. It has become the greatest representative of the district, leading over 50 rice noodle shops, Golden Triangle folk dance groups, and the Loyal Village Cultural Park which blends vintage and modern styles, alongside the inspiring historical experiences at the Exotic Story Museum. Every visitor is welcome to explore the rich flavors, open their visual senses, and emotionally connect with the passionate and diverse six-sensory experiences available.
