Charming Golden Triangle Business District (Charming Golden Triangle Local Character Industry Development Association) Introduction
The Charming Golden Triangle Business District is located in the Zhongzheng area of Longgang, Taoyuan City. It is named after the unique shops and residents that originate from the exotic Golden Triangle region of Yunnan and Myanmar, and is situated at the junction of the three towns of Zhongli, Pingzhen, and Bade. The district is renowned for its culinary culture primarily based on immigrants from Yunnan, Myanmar, and Thailand. Although the original site of the Loyal Village, where the first batch of soldiers retreated to Taiwan, has been demolished and replaced with buildings, the Loyal Market with its 400 traditional stalls, over 50 rice noodle shops, a national flag-raising ceremony, and the Yunnan Park drum dance events continue to form a diverse and rich culinary culture, immigrant migration stories, and various ethnic festivals as the three major characteristics of the business district, which embraces diversity. Two major regional festive events are highlighted: the Longgang Rice Noodle Festival, which showcases the diverse ethnic styles and culinary culture of the Golden Triangle every April, has become one of the most distinctive festivals in Taiwan. Additionally, the Double Tenth Carnival and the National Flag-raising Ceremony at the Flag House, combined with a cross-ethnic parade and the Loyal特色市集, featuring a large Harley motorcycle parade along with thousands of participants in various ethnic costumes, have turned into a grand regional celebration. The colorful ethnic dance performances and various dining specialties also contribute to the district’s recent accolades, including being ranked third in the national charming business district selection and second in the storytelling business district selection. In 2022, the Exotic Story Museum was officially established, presenting the heroic history of the isolated soldiers who fought hard along the Yunnan-Myanmar border to safeguard the security of the Taiwan Strait to the public, and has become the strongest advocate for the business district. It leads over 50 rice noodle shops, Golden Triangle folk dance troupes, and the Loyal Village Cultural Park that fuse retro with modernity, along with the inspiring historical experience at the Exotic Story Museum, welcoming every visitor to explore a multi-sensory experience that excites the palate, opens the visual senses, touches the heart, and embraces a passionate and diverse environment.
