Charming Golden Triangle Business District Introduction
The Charm Golden Triangle Business District is located in the Zhongzheng area of Longgang District, Taoyuan City. It is named due to the distinctive shops and residents that primarily come from the exotic Golden Triangle region of Myanmar and Yunnan, and its location at the intersection of three towns: Zhongli, Pingzhen, and Bade. The district is renowned for its diverse culinary culture influenced by immigrants from Yunnan and Myanmar. Although the original site of the first group of soldiers to be relocated to Taiwan, Zhongzheng New Village, has been demolished and rebuilt, the Zhongzheng Market with its 400 traditional stalls and over 50 various rice noodle shops, along with the national flag raising ceremony and the singing activities at Yunnan Park, continue to showcase a rich and diverse food culture, stories of immigration, and various ethnic festivals, embodying the district's three major characteristics of inclusiveness. Two major regional festival events are highly recommended: the Longgang Rice Noodle Festival, held every April, which showcases the multicultural charm of the Golden Triangle and its culinary heritage, has become one of the most unique festive feasts in Taiwan. The second is the Double Ten Carnival and the National Flag Raising Ceremony at the National Flag House, along with a cross-ethnic parade and the unique Zhongzheng market. The large parade featuring a Harley-Davidson motorcycle group and thousands of participants in ethnic costumes has become a regional grand event. Furthermore, the diverse ethnic dancing and the variety of notable dining establishments in the area have earned the district third place in the national Charming Business District rating and second place in the Story Business District ratings. In 2022, the Exotic Story Museum was officially established to present the heroic history of the soldiers who fought on the Myanmar border and defended the security of the Taiwan Strait to the public. It has also become the district’s most significant ambassador, guiding over 50 various rice noodle shops, Golden Triangle folk dance troupes, and the Zhongzheng New Village Cultural Park that beautifully combines retro and modern elements, as well as the emotionally stirring historical experiences presented by the Exotic Story Museum. Visitors are warmly welcomed to explore a rich sensory experience that delights the taste buds, opens the eyes, touches the heart, and embraces a passionate and diverse adventure.
